We went because we fancied a change of scenery. This pub has a lovely atmosphere & was quiet ie. noise wise. The food was delicious as you can see by the photographs. The only downside was the service was a little slow which was understandable because it was quite busy. If you fancy nice pub food this is a place to visit!

Visited for the first time for my birthday. On the booking requested Festive Menu.When asked to order Festive Menu not available Sunday.My goats cheese starter was very nice but no butter for the toast. I did request some.. The beef dinner was a good portion but not much flavour in the beef.Our sweet of cheesecake was very nice. The place is really lovely with a roaring fire.Staff were all very polite. Asked for the bill which was brought and .mentioned a 10% service charge had been added. We would have given that as a tip anyway but I do prefer that to be my choice (I know you can have it removed). I was so looking forward to visiting. But I left with mixed feeling.

We enjoyed a meal here for the first time last night. Firstly the staff where impeccable. So friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. The pub itself is beautiful, they have a fantastic choice of drinks and wine. Now the food! Wow! Fresh, tasty, and looked beautiful! We liked the idea of tge private dining option so will hopefully use that option with family for a special occasion. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, we’ll be back.

Went for Sunday lunch. Beautiful food, atmosphere was great, brass band playing Christmas songs. The food service and staff were brilliant, polite and a credit to the Farmers Arms. Great pint og Guinness too! We will 100% go back. Highly recommended.

Lovely large portions. So tasty especially the stem broccoli in garlic and chilli. One side is enough for 2-3 people

Had a Wonderful time tonight! A party of 6 ladies for Xmas meal. Sat in a private dining room with great atmosphere and attention to detail. The management was 1st class as was the food and service. This place is a real gem. Not pretentious but class in every way. Thankyou all for a wonderful time. Too many places claim to have great food and don't!! You are a shining example of really caring for guests fortunate to experience your lovely place. Thankyou so much A Birch and friends ❤️

This is one of the best country pubs to dine in. We where welcomed in so warmly. Lunch treat for my family in a super special location but with the best service. Steph our server was amazing and made our experience so special with her knowledge of the menu and her attention. Lovely place and definitely recommend as a destination to get to.

Brilliant find, found this pub by chance whilst looking for somewhere to grab tea and waiting for the traffic to die down. And I was not disappointed, extremely tasty dishes, I had scallops and monkfish from the specials and then am Eton mess parfait. The scallops and monkfish where cooked to perfection with a myriad of complementary flavours. Very friendly service. Can't wait to take the other half.
